Outdoor programs at Camp Hope were established in response to the rise in teen mental health issues, suicides, substance abuse, and low academic performance. The camp offers day camps, foster family camps and outdoor school. The programs focus on the key factors proven to help youth thrive. These include opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, and develop healthy relationships with caring adults.
Camp Hope strives to remove economic barriers, provide hope, and offer healthy meals to all our campers. The camp organizes bake sales and car washes to empower youth to earn money for summer camps. And with the support of donors, scholarships match their efforts and remove the financial barriers that prevent youth from experiencing camp.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN
Camp Hope of SW Washington (Camp Hope) is upgrading the dining patio with a covered outdoor cooking area. So far, we have installed a semi-permanent metal roofed gazebo, added concrete pads, and stainless-steel food prep tables. The next steps are to add a shed for storing equipment, food warmers, large propane grills, and food serving counters.
The absence of a kitchen has constrained the camp’s ability to prepare and serve food. The camp is increasing program offerings to include school field trips, outdoor school, and more summer camps. The addition of an outdoor kitchen with commercial grade kitchen appliances will dramatically improve the safety of food handling and increase capacity to prepare and serve more meals for our camps and our renters.
Camp Hope is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity organization; therefore, your donation is completely tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for all your contributions for tax purposes.
