Cindy Heer

Executive Assistant / Foster Family Camp Coordinator

Cindy is originally from Las Vegas, where her passion to see children learn and grow began while teaching Special Education. She has two children of her own, and in 2009, she and her family moved to the PNW. She worked for 2 years tutoring kiddos here in Clark County, and she also became involved with child advocacy and child abuse prevention work. She realized how important it was to help kids feel safe and supported, so after 4 years of doing this work, she decided to combine her love for the Arts and education, and focus her efforts on the healing side of things. She founded Anchored Creative Arts as a supportive healing outlet for children who have walked through tough situations in their lives. She loved what Camp Hope represented, and partnered with us in 2014 to help with the creative side of things - website, admin and marketing, and she is also responsible for facilitating our Foster Families Camping program. She loves getting to witness the transformation that takes place in the personalities of the youth that visit Camp Hope, including her own children - from day one, being shy and unsure of themselves, to the end of the season, having new friends, new outdoor skills and being confident!

She is proficient in American Sign Language, a Kindermusik Instructor, and owned and operated a creative ballet studio in Las Vegas.
